How to Backup Blu-rays into Synology NAS drive for Streaming

If you have multiple computers on your network, you are more likely to have a network connection storage (NAS) device. Synology, one of your best NAS drive servers, can be used to act as a Shared volume, backup and share files in the network, and even as a media stream. So what's the best way to copy blu-ray to Synology NAS? Just read this article. In the simplest way, we will share the skills and techniques of transferring blue light streaming to Synology NAS.

As far as we know, there are a lot of legal ambiguities in your legally purchased content. We believe that you should be able to watch the purchased media on your system, whether it is from a standalone Blu-ray player or a media center front. In order for Blu-ray to enter Synology NAS, you need a third-party Blu-ray capture software that will use Blu-ray Disc content as an unprotected, easy-to-read NAS element.

There're kinds of different software out there (some free, some not) with a variety of different options. It seems a bit overwhelming. Here we highly recommend Dimo Video Converter Ultimate, which can help us finish Blu-ray conversion bypassing Blu-ray copy protection. It is capable of ripping Blu-ray to MP4, AVI, MKV for NAS streaming with no quality loss; it also enables you to copy Blu-ray main movies for backup onto NAS in .vob format. And what we've learned is that MP4 would be one best target format for it is fully compatible with nearly all media devices including iPad, iPhone, PS3, Apple TV, etc. If you are running on Mac OS X, turn to Dimo Video Converter Ultimate for Mac. If you haven't got the software, download it now and let's start the conversion.
